I went to knitting night at the library again and started on my first sock! Look at all those knitting needles! It's a wee bit awkward using that many needles, but I am actually enjoying it. I need to knit 8 inches of ribbing before I get to the tough part -- the heel. Stay tuned. . .

Staying tuned! You're doing great.... My Mom will get two socks going at once... do both the ribbings, heels... so on.
Those are going to be so pretty. :)
Do you have small feet? LOL You are doing great! More patience than I would ever have.
BTW.... you are TAGGED!
Hugs!

Great job Sarah! Love the color too!
Try knitting socks on 2 circular needles instead of 4 double pointed. It's so much easier! This is a fairly new way of doing socks and it's the only way I'll make them now! Just cast on however many stitches you need, then divide them between two circular needles (I use 16") and knit in the round. You knit off the stitches with one needle (use the other end of that needle), then let it hang, pick up the other end of the other needle and just keep going around and around until your sock is finished. Put a stitch marker at the beginning of your row so you know when you've finished 1 row. There's a really good book out that teaches this way. It called "Socks Soar on Two Circular Needles" by Cat Bordhi. That's the book I used to learn from (and I'd only made 1 pair of socks the regular way). Socks are fun and work up fairly fast plus you get warm feeties when your done! :-) Love the yarn you're using. Barb Brown (Barb's Things)
I'm intrigued by the sock knitting process! So cool.

You are so much more brave than me....I just finished a heart dishcloth and I'm going to try my luck with a hat next.....socks just look soooo hard!!!
Oh my goodness! That looks complicated! Do your hands cramp up? Can't wait to see the heel! :)
