Who Knew?

After I wrote yesterday's post, I turned on the local news and they had a piece about Vick's Vaporub. Apparently, it should never be used on children under 2 -- it actually caused a constriction of airways in an infant. They have tested it on rats and it doesn't relieve any breathing problems for them. The scientist figured that people believe it works because of the "noxious" smell. Noxious! I love the smell of menthol . . .

Anyway -- it seems that not only the cold is all in my head . . .

LoL Sarah! your sickness isn't funny, but your "telling of the tale" is! Hope Clara's having a blast, hope Pete is better, and hope you are better. Just remember, the construction will be worth it in the end.
Where's Cairo during all of this?

Sarah, I have a skin condition on the palm of my left hand. The doctor's not sure if it's psoriasis or eczema but he prescribed a foam .....and the full cost for the foam is over $600 for a small can. But quite by accident, I found that putting the Vicks on my palm at night and covering my hands with cotton gloves heals this "breakout" faster and easier than the foam. I'll keep using it, no matter what.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts, Lana! Cairo is here, sneezing from his perpetual allergies and barking his head off at the workmen. I know it will be worth it -- can hardly wait. We'll have to have a TEA party here when it is finished! Wouldn't that be fun?

Hi, Jojo -- I am glad to hear that someone else uses Vick's -- I love the stuff! Think how many jars of Vick's you can buy for $600!

Stay well -- Sarah
