I can't decide which border to use on the lobster. My initial thought, when I started hooking it last year, was a black and white checkerboard -- two rows of 1 inch black and white squares. The other day I thought maybe black and red would be better. Then I thought, why not try beading 3/4 inch pieces of wool, which would be much quicker to hook. What do you think?

Either of the black and white borders appeal to my eye!!
My choice: the red and black. Love the rug! nice job. debby from the coast of Maine
I like the black & white best
I like the big check it looks like those fun kitchen floors that are black and white. Lobster would be cooked in the kitchen or on the grille, that is my opinon for what it is worth,

I like the 3/4" black and white the best. That being said, the fact that all like something different might mean all your ideas are good. My, I am afraid I am not helping much! In any case I love you rug.
I really like the black and white checks!
I like the black and white. It reminds me of kitchen decor too! This rug is great!

Sarah,
Yet another idea..... you're going to shoot me LOL! I could see a row of red thin line between either of the black and white... I kind of like the smaller checks!
Great rug!

Sorry, I'm late but I guess you can't go wrong. I can't decide either and I'm glad that you have tom make the decision. They all look great. JB
I vote for the large black/white check. I think it sets off your lobster best without competing with it.
I'd like mine with the larger black and white check border, please!
